This tree house was custom designed and built by the Best Behaved Boys at Meadowview Construction. After winning this treehouse at a charity auction the homeowners and their children helped us select a suitable tree that could withstand the weight of a treehouse.
It is every kid’s dream growing up to have their own special space and this amazing tree house is certainly special. A team of 6 carpenters had this entire tree house built in one day including clean-up.
Although it’s easier to have a local tree house construction expert build your tree house, you can save a ton of money and have the pride of accomplishment when you build a tree house on your own.
I remember helping my dad build my first tree house. When it was finished, it felt like I could do anything after that. Although it wasn’t as elaborate as this tree house, it was an amazing place to play and became my sanctuary as I grew older.
A few years ago, I went by the old house and was surprised to see that the tree house had survived all these years (and the shenanigans of about a thousand children). There is definitely something to be said about building things the right way!
If you are working on your first tree house project, don’t do it alone! Get a great set of tree house plans and make something that will be safe for your family and will last a very long time.
